or measure the widest part of your natural nail below the cuticle from sidewall to sidewall with a tape measure. Follow your natural nail's curve. Measure both hands if you think they differ.

You can also use tape or a strip of paper, pen, & ruler. (Measuring with a straight ruler will result in an incorrect measurement as nails have a curve)
